Supervisory Series is designed for front-line supervisors, new supervisors and
team leaders. The modules are divided into six (three hour) sessions. Each
workshop addresses a specific area and may be completed as an individual
workshop or as a series. All the workshops are hands-on and highly interactive

- Understand the process of transitioning from an employee to supervisors

- Review the importance of developmental delegation
Module 2: Interpersonal Communication Skills
- Define the importance of communication skills
- Explain the effects perception has in the communication process
- Discuss effective communication techniques for the workplace
- Review the elements of active listening skills
Module 3: Effective Coaching Skills
- Define principles of coaching to develop people
- Explore various ways to improve and reinforce good performance
- Explain steps to address ineffective performance
- Identify the needs of employees and determine how to get valuable input
Module 4: Conflict Managing Skills
- Discuss the types of conflict that take place at work
- Review the ways in which one can improve conflict management style
- Explain the five steps to successful conflict management
- Learn how to facilitate conflict discussion and resolution
Module 5: Problem Solving Skills
- Discuss the steps in problem solving and decision making
- Review the guidelines to present your ideas and influence others on decisions made
- Explain the S.W.O.T analysis as a tool to assist in the decision making process
- Review the brainstorming techniques and guidelines that will assist in the facilitation of productive session
- Practice using the tools and techniques to address an organizational situation
